How We Work to Protect Salmon and Fisheries

At the Sitka Conservation Society, we advocate for Alaskans, for salmon, and for the Tongass National Forest here in Southeast Alaska. We work to protect critical salmon habitat, support economic development for the small-boat fishing fleet, and promote sustainable harvest in commercial fisheries. Working and organizing with members, partners, and stakeholders across the state, we support policies that keep salmons healthy and ensure the economic benefits of our fisheries provide for Alaskan communities.
