When Gregg Dietzman reached out offering to help with transportation or any volunteer opportunities at Sea Pony Farm, we never expected the impact he and his wife, Rachel, would make, nor how impeccable the timing of their visit would be. Gregg reached out noting he has several Eric Bealer prints and was aware of Sea Pony Farm being gifted to SCS and spending some of the summers over the last 19 years bringing his wooden retired Forest Service boat up to Southeast Alaska, including Lisianski Inlet, every year.

Over five days during Elizabeth Younce’s printmaking residency in July 2025, Gregg and Rachel volunteered their time building a rolling cart and restoring Eric’s etching press. Gregg led the table building, salvaging pieces of yellow cedar left over from projects on the property and Rachel meticulously took apart, cleaned, and oiled the press.

It now lives in an almost finished corner of the newly updated barn, ready to roll on for future printmakers that visit Sea Pony Farm and help us continue Eric Bealer’s legacy.
