Kate Grumbles - Living with the Land and Building Community Jesuit Volunteer

Kate is originally from St. Paul, Minnesota and is excited to be a star representative of the Midwest in Alaska this year. She graduated from Whitman College in Walla Walla, WA in 2020 with a degree in Sociology and a minor in Spanish. At school, she worked as an editor for the student newspaper and most recently as the Community Fellow at Blue Mountain Land Trust. Back home in Minnesota, she worked for the Minnesota Conservation Corps and at a nature center as an outdoor educator. This year, she looks forward to living and learning with Sitka 4-H and getting in as much hiking and cooking as possible!
