Sitka City Assembly approved Sitka’s 1^st Visitor Industry Plan 2.0 in July 2007. Sitkans have overwhelmingly expressed the need for planning of the tourism industry in Sitka.  Sitka Conservation Society is following the development and implementation of this plan.
